Overview: Our client is currently seeking an IT Specialist that with extensive experience in providing consultation on customer specific computer networks, databases, and system administration. The candidate will have a primary focus on networking, providing technical support and guidance on current on-premise customer environments as well as current and upcoming Microsoft Azure Government cloud deployments. Assignments may involve frequent contacts with, and the support of existing customers.
Job Qualifications:
Strong background with Cisco and HP switches and routers.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience in network traffic monitoring.
Familiar with a range of Software and Hardware.
Familiar with best practices for deploying IT systems within a secure environment.
Familiar with managing servers in virtualized environments such as Hyper-V or VMware.
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database structures is a plus.
Working knowledge of writing code is a plus.
Experience in Agile software development is a plus.
Exposure to version control systems like Git, Azure DevOps is a plus.
CCNA certification
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 or more years of applicable experience, or equivalent applicable experience.
Security+ CE certification (preferred) or must be obtained with 6 months of hire date.
Current DoD Secret security clearance (preferred) or must be able to obtain.
Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites.
Expert level with Microsoft Office suite products.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with little supervision and guidance.
Ability to make use of provided resources and seek guidance as needed.
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Ability to troubleshoot all hardware/software problems to the component level.
Ability to keep abreast of changing software technology.
