Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a business leader with 10+ years of experience to serve as their Director of Federal Geosystems and lead and grow their $20M+ portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this executive will oversee a line organization with P&L responsibility and accountability for the performance of major programs supporting Space-based, Airborne, and Ground-based LiDAR solutions across the United States Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and Geospatial market sectors. The successful candidate will partner with leadership to drive the organization's strategic growth objectives by developing an understanding of customers' most important needs and driving associated capture strategies. With responsibility to hire, mentor and develop a staff of professionals, the selected individual will be held accountable for achieving the growth necessary to meet or exceed the division's forecast and plan and must have high-level geospatial technical knowledge about Space-based, Airborne, and Ground data acquisition, LiDAR, imagery, derivative products, GIS, and geo-enabled information systems to maintain credibility with customers and staff. In addition, this individual will interface with the client’s international shareholder company in an effort to align the federal Geosystems strategy with the shareholder’s product and technology roadmap. The position is located in Chantilly, Virginia and requires periodic travel to company and customer locations.
